Laurence S. Kuter (MS 18)

An extensive collection of correspondence, speeches, addresses, printed matter, manuscripts, portraits, diaries, biographies, and 52 bound memorabilia albums (47 cm x 43 cm) containing photographs, news clippings, correspondence, and ephemera from Kuter's military career and personal life from 1927-1963. Significant correspondence relates to Kuter's involvement in the development of air doctrine and air power during the war and his role as the Army Air Forces representative to the Yalta Conference, 1945. A copy of his book, Airman at Yalta, describing Kuter's experiences before and after the conference is included with the collection. Items posted online represent a small fraction of the Special Collections holdings.
