Chronicle of Higher Education Site License Access

The Chronicle of Higher Education is available to all USAFA faculty, cadets and staff through an academic site license provided by the McDermott Library.  The site license allows unlimited access to The Chronicle's daily news articles, data and premium content from anywhere, anytime.  To create an account, please follow the activation instructions below using your USAFA email domain.

Instructions to Activate Your Access

If you don't already have an account, follow these steps:

1.  Go to: chronicle.com/account/create

2.  Create a free account using your USAFA email domain: 

     a) Enter First and Last Name

     b) Enter your Email with @afacademy.af.edu or @usafa.edu

     c) Enter your Role. If cadet, select Other Role Not Listed

     d) Enter your Institution:  United States Air Force Academy

     e) Select your Primary Area of Focus 

     f) Sign up for any of The Chronicle's free e-newsletters, if desired

3.  Click the Create Free Account link

4.  Activate your account by confirming your email address in the "The Chronicle: Confirm your email address" email

5.  Once you have an account, you can sign in from: chronicle.com

Your account grants you access to all premium articles and resources such as:

Newsletters:  Sign up for daily and weekly newsletters for the latest stories and commentary on higher education
Special Reports:  Read special reports published every year on critical issues, including technology, trends and diversity. Open the Sections drawer to click on Special Reports.
Data:  Find data on faculty and staff salaries, and use The Almanac of Higher Education to find information on the profession, students, diversity, and much more
Archives: Access articles, data and commentary as far back to 1989

The Chronicle also features videos, advice, careers information, and the ability to search for jobs on Curriculum Vitae.
