A collection of notes assembled by Westheimer to refer back to in his writing. Westheimer (1917-2005) was a B-24 navigator with the U.S. Army Air Force. His plane was shot down over Italy in 1942 and he was eventually held in Stalag Luft III. After the war he came back to the United States and pursued a successful career as an author. His non-fiction book about his war-time experience is Sitting It Out: A World War II POW Memoir.
