Streaming Media

McDermott Library offers a wide selection of streaming media content, viewable on a variety of devices. Access to Kanopy is available on and off the USAFA network. Please sign up for a Kanopy account via the library's website on the USAFA network, then enjoy watching videos from different devices anywhere, anytime. The Air Force & Library Information System also provides access to Hoopla and other streaming media content via the Air Force Portal.

Streaming Videos (USAFA)

Kanopy
From the main page, select "Log In To USAFA" and enter your Library Username and Password to access Kanopy's collection of movies, documentaries and educational videos in different subject areas. Browse the subject category "The Arts", for example, to find videos and films on music, performing arts, visual art and much more.
PBS Streaming Videos
To access PBS, you must "Sign In" with the email and password provided on the Streaming Videos section of the Remote User Access Guide in USAFA Blackboard under the Library Resources tab. Follow the instructions in the guide for access to popular PBS arts & music, drama, and other shows.

Hoopla
A digital media service that allows users to borrow (up to 5 titles per month) movies, music and television as well as audiobooks, eBooks and comics to enjoy on their computers, tablets, phones, or TV. Stream or download for viewing.

Titles on Hoopla can either be streamed immediately, or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later via the hoopla app (iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, and Roku). After registering on the AF Portal, you can link to the Hoopla site to logon in the future. Please note this site does not support the Internet Explorer browser.
OverDrive Digital Media
OverDrive - DoD MWR Libraries offers access to language learning materials, eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, comics and other digital content. Click on "Sign In"; and then enter your information.

Air Force Portal
Go to the AF Portal to access streaming media content (except Kanopy, which is an AF Academy subscription). At the top of the AF Portal home, select the Library & Resources tab to find Databases & Online Resources with links to resources
