Quick Search:  Try searching Google typing your keyword(s) with site:gov in Google’s search box.  You can narrow the search to a certain department or agency, for example:  space system site:gov gao will narrow your results to documents from the Government Accountability Office (GAO).

You can also limit your searches to other domains such as  .mil  and  .edu  and refine results by date.

Finding Documents

To search the library catalog or EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS), try using advanced search with terms: united states congress in the author field and your topic in the keyword field. For example, adding “missile defense” to the keyword box in an EDS and library catalog search returned over 90 results.
