As an institutional member of the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries (CARL), you have the ability at USAFA to make requests in Prospector, a union collection of print and electronic books, audiovisual and other materials held by academic, public, and special libraries in Colorado. A courier delivers items to the library during the week.

Feel free to make an ILL book (or article) request to borrow materials that are not available at the McDermott Library.  Submit a request letting us know what item(s) you need. In general, you will receive an article in 2-3 business days while books take up to 7-10 days.

Overdrive: Digital collections from DoD MWR Libraries offers professional reading with non-fiction works in sociology, psychology, and beyond. To access, follow instructions below:

• Click "Sign In" at the upper-right corner of the main page
• Select your Library:  United States Air Force Academy
• Username:  Enter your Library (Patron) ID
• Password:  Enter your Library password

  Streaming Interlibrary Loan Video Resources (SILLVR)

SILLVR is an expansion of Prospector for borrowing nearly 7,000 academic and feature films.  Advanced Search allows you to center your results on streaming video titles in the SILLVR collection through the catalog.  After your request has been processed, you will be sent a temporary access link to view the film.

Note:  To view video, you may have to cut and paste the URL link using Chrome's Incognito mode or into your browser off the network.
