This is a community resource for tracking, comparing, and understanding current U.S. federal funder research data sharing policies in an easy to skim format. Originally completed by SPARC & Johns Hopkins University Libraries in 2016, the content of this resource was updated by RDAP and SPARC in 2021.
Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC)
You can submit your reports, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and data from research funded by the Department of Defense through DTIC.

DMPTool
While USAFA, is not a member organization of DMPTool, looking through the "Funder Requirements" section of their website will give you an idea of funder specific DMP requirements. Please note that agencies are starting to change their requirements after the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) issued a memorandum on "Ensuring Free, Immediate, and Equitable Access to Federally Funded Research."

A curated, informative and educational resource on data and metadata standards, inter-related to databases and data policies.
This resource guides users to discover, select and use FAIR principles (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable) with confidence. It helps producers to make their resources more visible, more widely adopted and cited.
Finally, FAIRshaing.org provides trustworthy content to promote standards and databases.
Research Data MANTRA
MANTRA is a free, online non-assessed course with guidelines to help you understand and reflect on how to manage the digital data you collect throughout your research. It has been crafted for the use of post-graduate students, early career researchers, and also information professionals. It is freely available on the web for anyone to explore on their own.
Research Data Management: Best Practices
This resource contains solid information on data management practices even though some information is specific to Cornell University. Browse "Best Practices" list to learn more or refresh you knowledge on topics like file naming and organization to writing "readme" files.
The DNC CURATE(D) Steps
The Data Curation Network developed a standardized set of C-U-R-A-T-E-D steps and checklists which you can find and download from this site.

Registry of Research Data Repositories (re3data.org)
Re3data is a global registry of research data repositories that covers research data repositories from different academic disciplines. It includes repositories that enable permanent storage of and access to data sets to researchers, funding bodies, publishers, and scholarly institutions. The registry has gone live in autumn 2012 and has been funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
Nature: Data Repository Guidance for Scientific Data
This resource page by the journal, Nature, displays a curated list of data repositories that meant their data sharing requirements. However, it is a good starting point if you are looking for places to store your data to fulfill funder or publisher requirements.
