The Arctic: Getting Started

                            Two geographical combatant commands, Northern Command and European Command, have shared AOR for the Arctic region, and Indo-Pacific Command includes a portion of the Bering Sea.  Transportation Command and Strategic Command also have interests in the Arctic, and additional security support is provided by the US Coast Guard. The Alaskan Command is a subordinate unified command of Northern Command.
