Our library offers access to a wide range of titles in eBook collections that you can read online or download. The Discovery widget below is a good place to check availability. Another good (and sometimes better) way to find content is to directly search a single eBook platform.

Feel free to make an ILL book (or article) request to borrow materials that are not available at the McDermott Library.  Submit a request letting us know what item(s) you need. In general, you will receive an article in 2-3 business days while books take up to 7-10 days.

As an institutional member of the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries (CARL), you have the ability at USAFA to make requests in Prospector, a union collection of print and electronic books, audiovisual and other materials held by academic, public, and special libraries in Colorado. A courier delivers items to the library during the week.

Overdrive: Digital collections from DoD MWR Libraries offers professional reading with non-fiction works in economics, finance, business, management, and beyond. To access, follow instructions below:

• Click "Sign In" at the upper-right corner of the main page
• Select your Library:  United States Air Force Academy
• Username:  Enter your Library (Patron) ID
• Password:  Enter your Library password

Use the catalog system to find printed books and media at the McDermott Library.  Search by keyword, title, author, or use the advanced search to find items by subject or a combination of terms. 

The Economics Collection is on the 5th Floor of the library.  Library holdings in economics are grouped in the H section with the call number visible from the book spine.  You will likely encounter books on similar topics by browsing nearby shelves.

  Streaming Interlibrary Loan Video Resources (SILLVR)

SILLVR is an expansion of Prospector to request streaming videos. Perform an Advanced Search to filter streaming videos. After your request has been processed, you will get an email with a streaming database link.
