Citing your sources correctly is an important part of the research process, ensuring your sources receive proper credit also helps prevent plagiarism. APA Style

Chicago Style

Before starting, be sure to check with your instructor to see which Chicago Style system is preferred for economics: Author-Date or Notes & Bibliography.  In-text citations and bibliographies will differ depending on the version used. 

Turabian is the "Chicago Style" version for students, providing essentially the same citations as those presented in The Chicago Manual of Style. If you plan to use A Manual for Writers by Turabian, cross check the style guide for accuracy and review of formatting rules.

MLA Style

Citing your sources correctly is an important part of the resource process.  MLA Style is commonly used for course assignments at USAFA.  Check with your instructor before selecting a citation style.

Zotero

Zotero is a free, easy-to-use citation management tool that helps you to collectmanagecite, and share your research sources. Being famiiar with the basic format structure of a particular style like Chicago is important before review and generation of a final bibliography in Zotero to ensure consistent results.
